About Me

Hi!I’m Robin, and I’m a musical empath and storyteller.
When I don’t have the right words to express ideas or feelings, I can find the instruments and melodies necessary to tell that story through music.
I take my stories, and those of talented filmmakers, directors, and artists, and turn them into musical masterpieces to help them accent their work and bring it to the next level. How do I do it?I’ve been playing trumpet for over a dozen years and I’ve used my instincts and knowledge developed in the ensembles I’ve played in to learn how to coax deep, precise emotions out of a variety of instrument combinations. What else do I do?On top of composing and performing, I also produce for artists to maximize their talent to share with the world. I also teach all these topics to aspiring musical storytellers to help them accelerate their learning and progress towards their goals.Teaching?I love what I do and wouldn’t be here in this world without it. Music is the core of my being, and I want to share my experiences with others to help them connect with their inner muse. Everyone deserves to feel good about the work they do, and I strive to bring that out in everyone I work with by meeting them at their level and pushing them beyond that.Let’s get to work and tell some stories!

Teaching

Are you looking to improve your knowledge of tonal harmony and classical western music theory? Do you need that extra boost of lessons to pass the AP Theory exam or to feel good about your college theory classes? Or do you want a head start so you don't feel left behind when you get there? As much as I love studying music theory and using it in my compositions, I understand that it can be difficult to feel good about doing something when you don't like it or don't understand where to start. Without a background in classical music theory, getting through these classes can be difficult, but you're not alone! My passion for teaching comes from my own experience as a student. I realized that there are a lot of people out there who need help, but aren't getting it in a way that they feel comfortable learning. I strive to understand your learning style and music background so I can relate the topics back to how you best understand music. While music is an ever-evolving language, I hope to relate the core aspects of tonal harmony back to your strengths as a musician so you can share the best version of your music with the world and tell your story.

Robin has been an invaluable resource for me. Patient and knowledgeable, she has always taken the time to ensure I understand.-D'mitri

Robin helped me understand the material in a way I could get it. She words things differently so I understand what to do and she gives examples for you to understand more.-Yoni
